The Freitas Family as I know it dates back to the early 1900's.

My grandfather and grandmother Freitas originated in the Madiera Islands. They had
4 sons, Manuel,John,Henry and Joseph. They arrived here about 1918 ?? ., and settled in Lowell,Massachusetts.Manual had married
and had no children. John met and married my mother Mary Pimentel.
They had my brother John and myself. Henry had married and had no children. Joseph
had married and had 4 children,
Joseph Jr., Richard, Stanley and James.
